Mission Kharkiv is one of the largest medical charitable organizations in Ukraine in terms of the volume of assistance provided. One of the key areas of our work is the systematic support of adult patients with oncological diseases.

Since 2022, our organization has been implementing large-scale programs including the delivery of medicines, patient transportation and evacuation, provision of first aid, distribution of hygiene kits, psychosocial support for beneficiaries, and strengthening the capacity of medical personnel.

Role Summary:
The English Translator provides both written and oral translation from English to Ukrainian and vice versa within project implementation — ranging from business documentation to partner materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide written and oral translation (online and offline) from English to Ukrainian and vice versa, ensuring accurate and detailed communication within project implementation at national and local levels.
• Translate partner documentation (vouchers, invoices, contracts, etc.), ensuring accuracy and contextual relevance.
• Translate content and materials to support effective cross-cultural communication and understanding.
• Translate multimedia materials, taking into account cultural nuances and linguistic accuracy.
• Collaborate with program coordinators and trainers to align terminology and working formats.
• Conduct terminology research and apply terminology management practices using reliable databases, glossaries, and relevant literature.

Requirements:

• Higher education in a relevant field.
• Language proficiency: Ukrainian (fluent), English (B2–C1, both written and spoken).
• Experience in translation within humanitarian, legal, and technical fields (including engineering and construction).
• Knowledge of subject-specific terminology in Ukrainian and foreign languages.
• Understanding of academic and editorial standards.
• Strong knowledge of grammar and stylistics in Ukrainian and English.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
