Job Description
Mission Kharkiv is one of the largest medical charitable organizations in Ukraine in terms of the volume of assistance provided. One of the key areas of our work is systematic support for adult patients with oncological diseases.

Since 2022, our organization has been implementing large-scale programs for the delivery of medications, transportation and evacuation of patients, provision of first aid, distribution of hygiene kits, as well as providing psychosocial support to beneficiaries and strengthening the capacity of medical staff.

Role Summary:
The Driver (Female/Male) of the mobile medical team ensures the safe and timely transportation of the team and equipment to assistance sites in the Kharkiv region. The role includes maintaining the vehicle in proper technical condition, managing transport documentation, responding to situations on the road, and assisting the team in the field. This position requires working in field conditions, responsibility, stress resilience, teamwork, and adherence to safety and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe and timely transportation of the mobile team to assistance locations.
  • Check vehicle condition, cleanliness, and disinfection, and verify that all equipment (stretchers, oxygen cylinders, wheelchairs, etc.) is present and functional before departure.
  • Participate in field trips and assist the team with moving materials or equipment.
  • Use navigation systems and maps to choose the safest and most efficient routes, adapting quickly to changing road or weather conditions.
  • Follow ethical standards, respecting the dignity of beneficiaries and team members.
  • Maintain transport documentation: logbook, fuel usage records, and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks (oil level, tire pressure, refueling, etc.) before and after trips and ensure the vehicle remains in proper working condition during use.
  • Respond to road emergencies (technical failures, accidents, etc.) according to standard safety procedures.
  • Provide logistical or organizational assistance to the team as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license categories B and C.
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (experience with specialized vehicles such as ambulances is an advantage).
  • Experience in humanitarian or social projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian traffic rules.
  • Skills in GPS navigation and electronic vehicle monitoring systems.
  • Stress resilience, responsibility, punctuality, communication skills, and teamwork ability.
  • Willingness to work in field conditions, including areas with limited access or elevated risks.
  • Good knowledge of roads and routes in the Kharkiv region.
