Job Description

Mission Kharkiv is one of the largest medical charitable organizations in Ukraine in terms of the volume of assistance provided. One of our key areas of work is the systematic support of adult cancer patients.

Since 2022, our organization has been implementing large-scale programs for the supply of medicines, patient transportation and evacuation, first aid provision, distribution of hygiene kits, as well as providing psychosocial support to beneficiaries and strengthening the capacity of medical personnel.

Role Summary

The Driver ensures the safe and timely transportation of medical supplies and project staff to healthcare facilities and operational locations across five target regions.

Key responsibilities include transporting medical goods from warehouses to beneficiary healthcare facilities, maintaining vehicle safety and readiness, conducting regular technical checks, monitoring fuel and fluid levels, and complying with organizational transport procedures.

The Driver also maintains records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance, ensuring accurate documentation and reliable operation of the project vehicle.

Work Format

Office-based in Kharkiv / Kharkiv region, with travel across Ukraine (Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions).

Expected start date: May 1, 2026

Key Responsibilities

Transportation of Medical Supplies and Staff

• Ensure safe and timely delivery of medical kits and rapid diagnostic tests from warehouses to healthcare facilities
• Transport project staff to operational locations across five target regions

Loading and Unloading

• Assist with loading and unloading medical cargo
• Ensure safe handling of medical goods during transportation

Vehicle Maintenance and Readiness

• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
• Monitor fuel levels, technical fluids, and overall vehicle condition

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance
• Ensure accurate documentation for project management

Compliance with Rules and Procedures

• Follow organizational transport and safety procedures
• Comply with traffic laws and internal policies

Other Duties

• Temporary replacement of colleagues, expansion of geographic scope of responsibility, and execution of special assignments from management

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (Category B/C) and proven safe driving experience
• Experience as a driver in commercial or humanitarian/logistics projects
• Skills in vehicle maintenance and technical condition monitoring
• Knowledge of traffic regulations and transport safety

Assets (Nice to Have)

• Experience working in crisis, frontline, or hard-to-reach areas
• Experience driving 4×4 vehicles, trucks, and right-hand drive vehicles
• Experience transporting medical or pharmaceutical cargo using specialized vehicles
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
• Certification in PSEA and other humanitarian training
